About Us

International School of Education (ISE)

We are a digital learning platform committed to supporting Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. We develop accredited courses and continuous professional development programmes for aspiring teachers, practising teachers, and school leaders. Our mission is to enhance educational practices and empower educators to create better learning outcomes for African children.

Our programmes provide a comprehensive educational journey, combining multiple courses and learning experiences to address diverse needs in teaching and leadership. These programmes ensure inclusive and equitable quality education by equipping teachers and school leaders with the skills and knowledge they need to excel. Through our courses, educators stay current with the latest teaching strategies, educational technologies, and leadership techniques, promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.

We undertake an in-depth analysis in bridging the gap between practice and research and equipping teachers with what works best so they can confidently devote to excellence in teaching and learning and make the best decision for their students.

Module 5 provided crucial insights into play-based learning in early childhood education, emphasizing its benefits and the importance of creating supportive environments. The module’s practical suggestions for selecting materials and organizing space inspired me to optimize my classroom layout for exploration and creativity. Moreover, the emphasis on using open-ended questions during lessons has revolutionized my teaching approach, empowering me to better cater to learners’ needs and foster critical thinking. This comprehensive understanding has invigorated my commitment to implementing enriching play-based activities in my classroom, ensuring that children thrive in an environment that nurtures their natural curiosity and love for learning.

Enrolling in LEED has been thrilling. The course content is clear and easy to understand, aiding in my passion for understanding child development. Assignments broaden my knowledge, drawing from personal experiences. Discovering the origins of terms like Froebel and Montessori has been enlightening. I’m eager to engage with educators and children using my newfound knowledge. Despite challenges like joining late and power outages, the supportive environment and prompt feedback from Madam Uloma keep me motivated. I’m determined to excel and prioritize children’s mental health in my teaching.

Module 1 of the LEED course provided invaluable insights into early childhood development, emphasizing the pivotal role of the environment and significant adults. It equipped me with the knowledge to understand the predictable sequence of child development, enabling me to plan effective learning experiences and educate both teachers and parents. Despite managing various responsibilities, completing this module has been gratifying. These foundational concepts are essential for effective teaching in the early years, and as a school administrator, I am better equipped to plan successful learning experiences in the early years and educate stakeholders.

Studying the Leading Early Education and Development (LEED) course has been both engaging and demanding. The assignments at the end of each module are particularly challenging, requiring substantial critical thinking and classroom analysis. Despite this, completing these tasks significantly enhances my confidence in grasping the module’s content. They serve as a useful tool for summarizing key points and guiding my application of knowledge in the classroom. The assignments in LEED help maintain my focus and provide clear progression markers. For example, crafting my teaching philosophy, a novel undertaking, was facilitated by course materials and videos. This philosophy will be instrumental in shaping my approach as an early years educator. The feedback I receive, especially the comprehensive analysis on my dashboard, acts as a cumulative portfolio.
